ENGINE
N.A.C.C. horsepower rating, 25.6. Maximum horsepower, 46. "L" head. Four cylinders cast en bloc. Bore and stroke, 4" x 5". Removable cylinder head. Valves easily accessible and entirely enclosed, operating in bath of oil vapor.
ENGINE LUBRICATION
Force feed, gear pump. Bayonet type oil gauge which shows not only quantity by quality of oil in crankcase. Oil gauge on dash.
COOLING SYSTEM
Positive water circulation by pump. Extra large radiator. Hand operated fan belt adjustment with very wide belt.
GASOLINE SUPPLY
Round tank on dash; capacity, 10-1/2 gallons; gravity feed.
CARBURETOR
Zenith.
CLUTCH
12-inch. Borg and Beck dry disc.. Clutch is removable without disturbing motor or transmission, and is unusually accessible.
TRANSMISSION
Sliding selective type, three speeds forward and one reverse.
DRIVE
Shaft drive with double universal joints and spring cushioned torque arm.
FRONT AXLE
Drop-forged I-beam with integral yokes. Heavy duty tapered roller bearings, extra size all around.
REAR AXLE
Full floating type of RoadKing design, special heavy duty type. Spiral bevel gears. Heavy duty bearings, extra size; Molybdenum steel shafts with ten splines.
FRAME
Channel steel frame, 1-3/4" flanges, 5-9/16" deep and 3/16" thick. Reinforcing angle riveted to frame acts as strengthening member and takes all body bolt holes.
STEERING GEAR
Irreversible, with 18" wheel; easy to operate.
BRAKES
2-3/4" x 14" service brake, external contracting, operated by foot; 2-3/4" x 14" internal expanding emergency brake operated by hand lever.
SPRINGS
Semi-elliptic with auxiliary spring on rear. The front springs are 38" x 2"; rear, 40" x 2-1/2", with auxiliary springs. Rear springs on 150" chassis 48" long, with auxiliary springs.
WHEELS
Heavy duty truck, artillery or disc type; heavy duty demountable rims.
TIRES
32" x 6" pneumatic cord truck tires all around.
